After one final restless night I am finally able to say it: WE DID IT! You have all proven to not only us, but to the world, that classic JRPGs are alive and well in 2025! Not only did you help us crush every single stretch and community goal, but your support just never stopped pouring in until the final seconds. I can say, on behalf of me and every person working on Seed of Nostalgia, THANK YOU! Your love and support has empowered and exhilarated us beyond measure.
We are already at work behind the scenes preparing our first backerkit survey and storefront. We will be having a 7 day grace period for anyone that has charge issues to get that figured out and lock-in their rewards, and then this survey will be going out to all of you. This initial survey will let you confirm your rewards, contact info, and any last minute add-ons you would like to add to your pledge.
This will be the final public update posted here for the foreseeable future. This means that instead of campaign updates like you've been seeing, these will be turning into development updates and behind-the-scenes reveals. As our backers we want to give you monthly updates on how the progress is going with Seed of Nostalgia, and hear your thoughts for the entire process. Another great way to be involved at every step would be to join our official Discord server!
The campaign will be closing this Wednesday the 7th, at 8am PST. If you are wanting to grab any of the exclusive rewards, specifically the in-game tiers like creating an NPC or Quest, this is your last chance before they are closed forever!
This is something we get asked pretty often so I figure this is a good time to bring this up.
Once the campaign ends we will keep most of the rewards available after closing. This means if you missed a reward or didn't have the means to grab what you wanted, you will be able to come back to our campaign page and grab anything you like. Ultra-Premium rewards with in-game creation like NPCs and Quests however will be gone after Wednesday.
We will also be opening a Backerkit storefront where you will be able to claim these rewards at any time. I will include links and information once the campaign is finished and those are both live.
The final reward is so special and something we are incredibly excited about! The incredible Emi Evans will be performing her enchanting vocals on one of the most important and spectacular musical themes for Seed of Nostalgia. You can hear an example of her angelic voice above.
Speaking of Music. One of the rewards from the first wave of community goals was adding special live recorded instrumental touches to key themes in the game. Here you can hear the title theme in all it's glory. Written and composed by MUSHRA, with live Alto Flute by Gregory Orosz, Oboe & English Horn by Brooke Ferd, and Bassoon by Michael Gebhart (Bassoonify).
